Significant steps are being made to improve how children experience language in the Children’s Hearings System.
A new update on the multi-agency work of Language Leaders, with full involvement of young people with experience of Hearings, is available on the Children’s Hearings Improvement Partnership website.
You can read all about the journey from ‘word busting’ to the development of language principles, and how these principles are becoming embedded in the work of the Scottish Children’s Reporter Association and Children’s Hearings Scotland.
OHOV’s Project Lead, Gordon Main, also shares his opinion in a blog, incorporating the voices of the young people involved, on how changing language will change both practice and organisational culture.
